One of the things I ❤❤about being a Beachbody coach is the fact that I get to continually work on improving myself. Not just my outer appearance 💪🏻but also the inside through great nutrition 🍉🍌🍓and personal development📖. How many other companies really push you to improve all aspects of yourself?
Personal development to me is one of the major reasons I know I am reaching the goals I've set for myself and in my business.
This past month I have had several aha moments💡💡. I have really come to realize that when you truly care about helping others, you will be helping yourself too.
I have had my best month ever and I know it's is because I am working hard in improving myself and helping others. It is so amazing to help others and see the changes they are making in their lives. I am so glad 😀that I found Beachbody. It's given me the outlet I needed as a stay at home mom plus some extra spending money so the budget doesn't feel quiet so tight.

I just love this. It helps remind me that no matter where you are, YOU can make the choices needed to be a success or failure.
Mornings at our house in the past, have been ciaos to say the lest. With two toddlers 2 and under, it has become evident that we need some kind of routine or schedule. Plus as I am making fitness and personal development a priority in my life, I have been struggling to figure out how to make time in my busy day to squeeze everything I want to get done in.
Our new morning routine which I'm loving is as follows:
First its breakfast for the girls while mom works out. (sometimes this also turns in to cartoons with milk while mom works out. Either way its working for us.) Then it's a movie or independent playtime for the little girls while I read some much needed personal development and drink my chocolate Shakeology.. Followed by a walk or reading books together in the rocking chair. The past few days have been so hot, that the walk has actually taken place before cartoons and reading. We have also started stopping at nearby parks, halfway through our walk for the girls to play. This has helped ensure that the walk is enjoyed by all.
I think the girls are benefiting from my workout and reading too. It definitely puts me in a better mood and is a great start to our day!

Does anyone else have this problem? Little Miss woke up early from nap time before I got my workout in. Not a problem, this mom, it still going to get her workout in. I turned around for less than 2 minutes to turn on my workout, 21 Day FIX Upper FIX...I turned back around and found this! Yea. The workout will have to wait until I clean. Life of a fit mom with toddlers!!
This morning was one of those mornings where I had a lot of things on my agenda however I kept feeling like I needed to be else where. So after dropping my girls off for Tuesday play date at grandmas I started to drive and soon realized where I needed to be.
I am so thankful that I could take time this morning to serve my Savior and Heavenly Father in the Temple. It helped ease some of my stressed and worries of the past few weeks.
I am leaving now with calmness and a happy heart knowing that I listened to that still small voice and followed that prompting.
Some early morning yoga/stretching in the park with my girlies. We found a shady park which is awesome. The girls could actually slide with out burning their legs. (We did go early around 830 but still. Shade is shade).#nevermissamonday
You know how sometimes you wake up in s bad mood. Well that was today.
My little girl woke up so early and I just wanted to stay in bed. But I had a choice. I could be "mean mom" and let my grumpiness start our day out poorly or I could do something about it.
So while she ate breakfast I choose to get my workout in. It made such a difference. We are now off to the park! Exercise does amazing things besides burn calories. Maybe it's all the endorphins.
I'm so glad I choose to change my mood instead of letting it rule my day! What are you going to choose?
I totally thought when I first started 21 day fix back in November last year that I wasn't going to be able eat anything and I would be starting the entire time!
Well I was so wrong. I just starting a new round and I am happy to repor that most of the time I'm stuffed and can hardly eat everything I'm suppose to! Umm WOW. A nutrition/portion control plan where you lose weight but stay full. Umm yeah.
I just love it. Here is everything I ate today, only thing not pictured was my Chocolate Shakeology. It might not look like a lot but I feel so full and wasn't hungry at all today! Win win
Can I just say, I am so excited for my fitness challenge group Sweat N Summer that is starting tomorrow! 21 day fix is going to go down this next 30 days! I have some awesome challengers ready to take their health and fitness to the next level by learning how to eat clean and portion control along with amazing 30 minute workouts all while drinking the best meal of the day (Yep, Shakeology!! )

So after Memorial Day. I felt yucky. Too much junk food. 🍔🍪🍦So It was time for a 3 Day Refresh. To be honest, I was a little skeptical but I stuck with it. I successfully followed the plan to a T".
I ended up loving 💜it. I felt great and had tons of energy. The best part.....I broke my weight loss plateau. 💥🎉🎈💟So overall it was a huge success. 2.5 lbs and 5 inches gone! (And still gone! It wasn't just water people!!) Wahoo.

My fearless little girl always reminds me that I can do hard things. She always seems to want to do things I would think are too hard for her but always amazing me in the end.

This past week has been a great week. What made it a great week? Well. I decided to stop being "mean mom" as my 2 year old had recently calling me. I had been stressed and have had no patience.
I decided Monday that this has to stop. I need to be a happier mom. I need to savor this time in our life. So I made a conscious choice and made more of an effort to be more present in my kids life.
I started by getting up early. Reading my personal development books. Getting in my workout as early in the day as possible. We started going to the park everyday, going for walks, having picnics, and playing. We turned off the iPad more. We are staying busy with errands. I stopped obsessing on whether I got the house cleaned or if they got their clothes dirty.
It's amazing how all of these little things have lead us to have a happier week. We have created great memories. And a bonus is that Rhees hasn't fought bedtime this entire week!
Now I know keeping this up will be difficult and their will be days that things don't go smoothly. But I am choosing to be happy and making an effort and that's what counts. #happyhealthymom #happykids
As the girls and I were running errands this morning, one of my favorite oldie but goodie songs came on the radio. It brought back such memories and feeling of when I really whole heartily believed that "I'm not that kind of girl who gives up just like that!" Name that song!! ha ha. But seriously.
That phrase made me remember that I'm not. And I'm in this new healthy lifestyle for the long haul.
I really did not want to get up this morning to workout! My bed was way too comfy. But I knew I would never reach my goals if I didn't push myself and get my workout in. So I got up anyway and now my workouts done. My Shake was a great treat after and now on to errands with my girls. I am so glad I got up and got my work out in, one fit step at a time leads to my happiness!

Lately, I have really been working on really being myself. I have always had a tendency to be a "people pleaser". Now, to some of you this may not seem like a negative thing, everyone around you is happy. However overtime, I have come to realize that although everyone else is happy, it is at the expense of you. Deep down, you are not happy. You are struggling and no one sees it because you focus on pleasing everyone else.
The below quote has really helped put things in perspective for me.
"Someone will always be prettier, someone will always be smarter, someone will always be younger, but they will never be YOU!!"
I am striving to live each day as me, and focus obtaining my happiness while helping others reach theirs. But not at the expense of mine.
